A couple of late nights and all of my quilts were ready in time to take them to the quilt show. I had 10 quilts of various sizes at the show and had many positive comments from friends, family and fellow quilters. It's nice to know others appreciate seeing all of the sewing that I have been doing lately.
All of the quilts I put in the show have been posted on my blog before so I will not add any pictures of my own quilts. I do have several pictures of quilts that others made that were my favourites at the show.
Jacqui's Button Quilt:
Ruth's flower garden, hand pieced and hand quilted:
A close up:
The sheep on this quilt had curly quilting:
Cynthia's 5 little monkeys quilt (one monkey did not show):
I will add more pictures at a later date.
The quilt show was well attended and inspiring to quilters and non-quilters alike. I even won a prize (a pattern from babs n' jas designs) at the raffle table!

Sleeves and Binding...
As I said in my last post, I have been working away at getting sleeves put on the quilts I am putting in the quilt show. I am happy to report that I only have two more (large) quilts to go! I picked up the "Fiddlesticks" and "Scrappy Sampler" quilts on Friday from the quilting lady and today finished the binding on "Fiddlesticks". Here are a couple of pictures showing the quilting detail and binding/backing.
I have also pieced a couple more table runners. The first one is for me and the second one is a gift for a friend. I purchased the pumpkin fabric at the quilt show in Ingersol a few weeks ago and bought some of the other fabrics in the runner at a shop hop in the Niagara Penninsula at the beginning of October. These are not quilted yet.
These two quilts now have sleeves and special hangers to display them. I purchased the star hanger at Gone to Pieces in St. Catharines, Ontario. The "Welcome" hanger was purchased at a quilt show in St. Mary's. They will hang in our family room as soon as I get nails in the wall...

Fall Postcards
Tomorrow night is Guild night and we do a fabric post card exchange. I spent some time last night making some postcards so I would have one to put into the mailbox. All three are made from leftover scraps from my Fall Leaves Scrappy Sampler.
(Sorry this picture is a bit crooked!)
Tonight, I spent 3 hours at a quilting friend's house at a quilt sleeve party. We spent the evening sewing sleeves and binding on quilts that we will be putting into the Harvest of Quilts quilt show later this month.
The machine quilting lady will have my two quilt tops quilted by this weekend so I will have binding and sleeves to do on them as well. This is a very busy month for me -- I hope to have all of the quilts ready for the show a week ahead of time. I have some birthday gifts to make for my nieces before the end of the month as well. The sewing machine will not have much time to cool off this month!
