I took this picture at our main stop this afternoon. Some of you may recognize this place...Country Patchworks Fabrics and Quilts.
I purchased some orange thread--I have been wanting to get a new spool of orange thread for months! Also, three pieces of fabric came home with me. I love the snowmen riding in the trucks!
I also purchased something else while I was there but you will have to wait a few weeks until I can show it to you.
Our next stop was at the Dairy Queen, but I did not take any pictures of our ice cream!
On our way home, we were on the lookout for some pumpkins for our front porch. We stopped at a farm on a country road where they had apples, onions, squash and pumpkins for sale.
I bought two types of squash ( a green one and a striped one) and white and orange pumpkins.
We also saw some farmers out harvesting their soybeans.
It was a perfect day for a drive in the country!
There were even some leaves changing colour on a few trees.
I will be linking up with Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching tomorrow.
Oh your cross stitchery is coming along so well--will be watching how it comes together....love those photos...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteFrank is growing by leaps and bounds...lovely scenery in this post as well! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great afternoon drive with some wonderful stops. Those truck riding snowmen are cute. Love the variety of squash and pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall photos...sounds like a perfect day to me!
ReplyDeleteFrank's looking good! I love the pumpkin pics - oh and your orange thread...yum!!! It's such a great time of year to be out and about :)
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitch looks like an interesting project. I don't see how you can do that riding in the car...SKILL!
ReplyDeleteI love the pumpkins. It is always fun to decorate for fall.
Good for you being able to stitch while riding in a car. If I have a simple project, I am able to accomplish that. Your cross stitch appears intricate. Pretty autumn photos.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried to cross stitch while during a car travel. I am curious to see what are you stitching, I 'll be looking forward to discover it. Love the pictures in special the tree with red leaves. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos - looks like the perfect day out, especially since you managed to take in a quilt shop and ice cream as well as everything else! More progress on Frank too, and he's looking good.
