It was a busy week with lots of activities happening, but not a lot of time for sewing. I managed to make some progress on my cross stitch project, adding more trees, border stitches and starting the snow at the bottom of this section. I'm hoping to finish the mushrooms in the forest this coming week and move on to the next part.
The church bazaar was yesterday. Here are the three pillows that I made for the sewing table. We had a family wedding to attend out of town yesterday so I only had time to stop briefly at the church.
My daughter also had a busy week so not a lot of time for crocheting. She started the next part of the border--it looks like a candy cane.
Finn finds the balls of wool make wonderful pillows.
Christine and I are going on another quilting retreat next weekend so I need to get my projects lined up this week. I have some gifts to make! I will link up with Kathy and Frederique.
Yeah for another retreat, it's great to quilt with friends. I love those pillows, they look soft and cozy, and perfect for the season! Cute Finn and his yarn ball, the crocheted row is looking good.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, have a great week!
Retreats are the best way to catch up with friends and to make great progress on projects! I like your pillows and I hope someone liked them and purchased them!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects

ReplyDeleteGreat pillows, and love your daughter's crochet! Finn looks really comfy!
ReplyDeleteThose mushrooms in your cross-stitch project are fun! I love the pillows - hope they sold for the bazaar. Have fun at the retreat!
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitch is looking great. I love the candy cane border on your daughter's crochet project. Finn looks content. Enjoy your retreat!
ReplyDeleteThose pillows are a lovely addition to the church bazaar. The check addition to the elk fabric is inspired. Cute little mushrooms and the 'candy cane' addition to your daughter's crochet is a pretty addition. Have fun at your quilting retreat.
ReplyDeleteThe quilting retreat sounds fun, usually such a lot gets achieved, as there is no need to stop for chores like there is at home.
ReplyDeleteA quilt retreat sounds delightful. I wish you the best in getting together fun projects to work on. Hugs.
