If you are here for the Online Quilt Festival, please look at the next post...
I finally finished piecing the Bonnie Hunter Chrsitmas Lights mystery quilt. I have laid it out on the floor of my family room (I don't have a design wall, yet!) and would like you to help me pick how to lay it out in the quilt. Here are the options: we will call the first one "#1"
We will call this one, "#2".
And, here is "#3":
I hope to put these blocks together later this week so please let me know by Thursday at supper time which one you like and I will decide that night...
I vote for layout number 3 - it is going to be a beautiful quilt no matter which layout is used!
ReplyDeleteI like one, as it is different and unusual
ReplyDeletecheers
Christine
#2
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for #2 - they are all good but that one leads by a nose. LOL
ReplyDeleteI like them all but if I had to choose?....I'd say number 2.
ReplyDeleteI think I like # 1 the best.
ReplyDeleteProbably number 3 but not as much as Bonnie's layout.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sewing
I like layout #2 --- you didn't make it easy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Quilting

I like #3 and think I will do mine like that!!!

I'm liking number 3....it's a different take on the standard layouts....
ReplyDeleteNumber 1. I'm with Christine "it's different and unusual".
ReplyDelete#2 for me.....
ReplyDeleteNice layouts! i like #3 the best.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between 2 and 3
ReplyDeleteLooks like the voting is pretty well spread even!
I like number 3. It reminds me of a Native American design.
ReplyDeleteI vote for number 3. This will be a beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one. The other two show up the red a lot more, and I like the overall colors of the first one the best. They are all terrific and whichever layout you use will be wonderful!

See? Look at your votes- they are all great! So it depends what you are going for. #3 seems more traditional, #1 & #2 a little more unique. I like 3.
ReplyDeleteI vote for #3 - I have done mine in Bonnie's layout and love that one also. Hoorah for Christmas Lights.
ReplyDeleteI love these! I believe that number 3 is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI like #2. That gets my vote.

I like #2. No, wait... #3. Or maybe #1...
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for coming up with 3 wonderful layouts!
As others have said, any of the three layouts would produce a wonderful quilt. My own preference is for #2. It reminds me of a barn-raising setting for log cabin blocks, which is my favorite LC setting. I like the four "legs" that point from the center out to the corners. My two cents' worth. -- Lydia in MO
ReplyDeleteI like 3 the best, second best is 2.
ReplyDeleteAwesome work, any of them will look great.
I tried all those too - via EQ - much easier than crawling on the floor at my age! All are very nice but I prefer #3. I almost made mine like that (had two rows put together) but instead separated the star blocks from the modified D9P blocks (in red) and made two quilts instead. I posted them on http://itsthecatshouse.blogspot.com/2009/10/christmas-lights-times-2.html. I would love to know what you think!
ReplyDeleteI prefer #3.
ReplyDeleteI like #3 best but #2 was a close second.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE number 1, it is my favorite! It just looks so clever!
ReplyDeleteI like layout #3 - it moves the eye around the quilt.
ReplyDeleteI vote for number #3...and as everyone else says...
ReplyDeleteThey're all great!

I think that #2 is my favorite. I would change the corners on the 4 blocks right in the middle from the gold fabric to red so that there is some red in the centre of the quilt.
ReplyDeleteI like number 3.
ReplyDeleteI am voting for #3.
ReplyDeleteThey are all unique but I like number one. It is very different. Good luckon deciding.
ReplyDeleteBe careful asking for input... it looks like you have lots of votes ---
ReplyDeleteI am fluctuating between 2 & 3. But, 2 will be my final vote. Thanks for sharing these.

I vote for #3 also. Let us know which you choose bz it will be beautiful with any design. Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteare you really gonna let the most popular one win?? :) If so I hope #2 wins! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us be a part of it - it will be beautiful! and you should send an email to editor@quiltmaker.com and tell them about your decision making and share photo for them to use in next issue! ;)
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
They're all nice, but #3 is my favourite :-)
ReplyDeleteI like 3.
