I'm back...

A few weeks ago, Pokey posted some pictures of her funky chicken pin cushions and I commented on her blogpost about how much I liked them---then, the unthinkable happened...she offered to make one and send it to me!

So cute!  I love the comb...

And the cute little tail feathers.

The pins were included!

She also included a charm pack---called "Friendship".  Thanks for the package, Pokey!  It certainly brightened my day!

I noticed a few pictures on the internet this past week of friends' first day of school. Here is my first day of school for Kindergarten. This picture was taken just a few years ago...LOL.

I have not done any sewing or blogging for the last couple of weeks --I have been busy with some family health issues. Thankfully, the sick family member is getting better and things have settled down enough to do a little bit of hand sewing this weekend.  I am working on binding my Mexican Stars wall hanging. It is not quite done yet but I hope to finish it tonight in time to take to show and tell at the London Friendship Quilters' Guild meeting later this week. I am linking to Kathy's slow stiching Sunday post here.

The quilting was done by Cathy.

I think she did a great job!

I am off to do the rest of the hand sewing on the binding and then I will post a picture of the finished wall hanging.

I am hoping to have another Great Granny or two to show later this week, and maybe even a swoon...
