Christmas Quilt Finish

This week has involved a lot of waiting.  While I was waiting, I kept my hands busy by hand sewing the binding on my Christmas quilt.  This was a sew along with Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts.


I love this stage of making a quilt.


The red and white striped binding is just what I wanted!


The quilting is a pantograph called "Frost".


The background is Essex linen.


The sun shone long enough this morning for a photoshoot outside!

    How festive and fun! I love the backing and the candy cane striped binding. And the quilting is perfect! Nicely done, Gail. Is this one a gift or a keeper?

      I will be keeping this one...for use in our living room during December. Nice to have a quilt while reading a book or doing some hand sewing .

    I like your choice of the dark background color. An unusual choice for a holiday quilt, but very interesting.

    This is beautiful! I love your moose. I like the dark background, too, it makes all the color in the blocks pop. And you finished on time...well done!
