Ready for Hanging!

A few minutes ago, I finished sewing the button eyes on the cardinals...

and the button mouth on the snowman...

I even embroidered a chain at the top of the birdhouse so that it is now hanging from the snowman's arm rather than dangling in mid-air!

I have not done any embroidery for many, many years (that is a longgggg time!), but I did remember how to do this stitch.  Maybe embroidery is like riding a never forget how to do it!

So, here is the finished wall hanging:

I hope to have it hanging in my family room sometime later this week.

Christine and I got together this week to work on some Christmas gifts. Christine also worked on her hourglass and nine patches for the LFQG mystery quilt.

I did the binding on the snowman wallhanging by machine and the gifts which I can't show you in case people are peeking.

Sorry I have not been blogging much lately. I have been spending a lot of time visiting a sick relative over the past several weeks and there has not been very much sewing time.

  1. Your snowman is so cute, and I love the background and the y the stars are built in. That's going to be a lovely addition to your home decor. I hope your sick relative is feeling better.

  2. What an adorable winter wallhanging! Love the special details you stitched!
