As usual, Christine and I sewed together last week...this time it was at her house and we had a supervisor. This is Daisy. She kept a close eye on us as we sewed!
We both made our second owl blocks. These went together a little faster than the first ones.
The red one is mine and Christine's is pink.
We had lunch outside on the deck. Tomato tortellini soup and strawberries for dessert. Yummy! Christine gave me the recipe so I could make it at home.
What a cute assistant! Nice owl blocks and lunch looks delish!
ReplyDeleteI love your owl blocks - what a clever design. The red fabrics you have used in the body are especially effective.
ReplyDeleteYou too sure make great progress when you get together. And the lunch.... Mmmmm! Both of the owl blocks look fabulous - such pretty fabric choices!
ReplyDeleteAww, I wish I had a quilting Buddy nearby for weekly sew ins. It looks like you were having a great time (those owl eyes suit you well - new glasses maybe?)and a dog makes everything better!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty fabric with you owl blocks. Lunch looked yummy! Looks like a fun productive day.
ReplyDeleteYour owls turned out lovely - love the ombre effect in the wings! It must be due to Daisy's efficient management and supervision.
