My husband and I just got home on Monday from Scotland and England where we were on vacation for three weeks. We traveled by plane, train, car, bike, canoe, sailboat, barge and taxi on our trip and I was able to do some stitching on the plane, the train and the barge. Here are some pictures of my train stitching...
Sometimes, the view out the window was distracting so it was a bit hard to stay on task!
During our trip, we took a one week barge cruise on the Caledonian Canal, from Inverness to Fort William. The week was filled with hiking, biking, sailing, canoeing and wonderful views of the Great Glen. There was a little time for stitching along the way.
This is our boat, the Ros Crana, in one of the locks on the canal.
There was a stowaway on board!
I also did some stitching on the plane on the way home.
You can see on the map that we were just south of Iceland when I took this next picture.
We had a wonderful trip!
I will be linking up with Kathy and the slow Sunday stitching gang.
Your trip looks wonderful. So many different forms of travel. Your stitching is looking great.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous places to stitch. I would be distracted as well.
ReplyDeleteit is a well traveled project!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the travel pictures. My holiday was spent at home, so I'm living vicariously via everyone else's vacation photos! Like how the FLW is coming along.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to be able to stitch all around the world! Loved seeing your photos and it sounds like a fabulous trip!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your trip, awesome traveling. Your stitching beautiful. Love the stowaway, he's cute. Have a great day!
Great stitching during your travels, and great scenery
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful trip. What fun to stitch in far-off scenic places. The travel memories will add to your cross-stitch FLW. Soon I'll be traveling with a stitching project. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the photo's! So fun to be able to stitch anywhere.
ReplyDeleteWe drove that route earlier in the year and thought how fantastic it would be to do it by boat! I'm very envious! I'm glad you had a good holiday!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a fabulous time away. Just look at your pretty stitching with the scenery whizzing by. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteGood on you for taking your stitching on holiday. We have been on holiday in Australia from New ZEaland, and I didn't pack any stitching, thinking we would be too busy. We certainly were, but sometimes it's nice and peaceful to sit and stitch.
