A Slow Week

Not much happened in the sewing room this week.  Major dental work on Tuesday followed by cataract surgery on both eyes on Thursday meant I spent lots of time lying on the couch and not much time sewing/knitting.  The good news...my tooth no longer hurts and I can see much better!  I am supposed to be limiting my screen time so this will be a shorter post than usual.  Hopefully, I will be back in the sewing room this week.

I made one block this week for a travelling quilt project that I am doing with 5 other quilters from the Toronto Modern Guild.  I mailed this block off on Wednesday.  The recipient does not read my blog so she will still be surprised when it arrives. These little birds have 3D wings!

Finn is such a happy boy!

Hosta

I planted this perennial last year and can't remember what it is called.  It has yellow daisy-like flowers which are just starting to bloom.

Moonbeam Coreopsis

Shasta Daisies

My daughter made some progress on her cityscape despite having a very busy week at work.

I will link up with Kathy in the morning.

  1. I'm glad to hear your tooth is pain free and your cataract op went well! Your new block is so cute. The different shape wing detail is so effective. Take care.

  2. I love those little birdies! Wouldn't they make a sweet RSC quilt? Maybe in rows with kitty rows in between? Bet there are still some other cute animals from Angela's RSC 2019 project ... just not the pig ... but there were fish and more!

  5. I'm glad you got your cataract surgery done - I'm surprised they do both on the same day - here they do one one week and then wait two weeks and do the next one - I think that is so that you have one good eye to see with in case something doesn't go right? I'm not sure but I everyone here in the states do it like that I think
